i meant it's generally rarer now, valve releasing proton/steam play basically killed the linux port, but back at its height (2009-2017) it was much more common, but there's no real point in releasing one anyway when steam play has a good 98% chance to work fine

i mean how many games since about ~2017 even have linux ports? it's not "0" but it's not much either, likewise that they made linux ports then is probably because that was a trend for indie games in that period, rather than they like/dislike linux, though some gamedevs hate linux like garry newman
