Isn't forward secrecy becomes useless once all keys are backed up in cloud? Practiced by whatsapp and Matrix.

If my understanding is correct, Matrix encrypts backup with single key.

Just to compare, usually matrix has 2 nodes, SimpleX 3 and Signal with only one central server.

To be honest, Session is the only one that implements proper IP obfuscation (no opt out), but even then it feels like huge waste of network resources per message/packet.

Session is cool and stuff. But 8 nodes between sender and receiver is... brrrr...
