So I'm thinking we agree - maybe don't sweep it under the rug this time. Maybe a lack of trials and investigations only helped create the festering wound of racism and resentment that contributes to the situation today. The US won't be unique in having to confront past crimes - learn from history..

Central bank debt is an interesting one. Does the fact that "central bank debt" so closely matches government debt mean that the NZ Government borrowed from Reserve Bank who then borrowed from overseas? If so is it mostly USD denominated?

Whoever they are they really really know their stuff. I am imagining someone who already works in a pretty important economist role but wants to have the freedom to actually just say how it is. Otoh maybe I just need to do more research.
