25.11.2025 00:28 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Even with the note on the legislation, this will make doctors gun shy of prescribing to trans and gender variant people in case they get a fine and a conviction.
Mental.
"Gender incongruence" could also easily target masculine presenting women seeking breast cancer treatment.
24.11.2025 20:47 โ ๐ 4 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0This literally means that if a trans person requires GnRH blockers for cancer treatment (i.e breast or prostate), they CANNOT get cancer treatment.
Insane. Absolutely insane - and deadly.

24.11.2025 00:46 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0It only required two instances of such behaviour in a two year period. An account on X has posted two of my posts in the last two weeks.
I already called them out for being creepy stalkers for the first post.
I'd like them to stop. It's on them if they don't.
Under the Government's new anti-stalking legislation, screenshotting people's non-public Bluesky posts and posting them on platforms like X could very well be considered part of a stalking campaign.

Nightmare fuel.
The one almost-real sci-fi horror concept that has haunted me since I read Cyberpunk 2020 is the idea of monofilament wires so thin you cannot even see them which can cut you in half just by walking through them.
All you might feel is the faintest tug as they go through the densest bones.
Under new NHS puberty blocker trial protocols, trans youth are being subjected to more than 50 assessments, intrusive exams, and over 13 hours of intrusive testing - just to access lifesaving healthcare
It demands young people re-live distress & undergo intimate examinations

Good to see some reporting on this.
Spread it far and wide, folks.

So many doctors, medical experts, paediatric organisations, human rights organisations, and medical organisations coming out against the governmentโs ban on puberty blockers.
Itโs a tsunami of support for the trans community, and boy are the anti-trans bigots mad about it.
Reminder that banning abortion is one of Simeon Brownโs pet projects

What do you call this behaviour?

16.11.2025 09:28 โ ๐ 82 ๐ 2 ๐ฌ 3 ๐ 1The party that is responsible for this, NZ First, scraped into a coalition with 8% of the total vote, but wields a disproportionate amount of power.
The party leader, Winston Peters, is 80 years old and likely won't be around that much longer, whether he retires or croaks from old age.
Weโre fighting this. It will very likely be overturned in December next year, with a new government.
The current government in NZ is unpopular and unlikely to stay in power with current polling.
Did not expect this Trans Day of Remembrance to start out with talking to my husband about how the governmentโs puberty blocker decision will lead to immense mental distress in young trans people.
Yet here we are.

19.11.2025 05:53 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I havenโt. I know enough on here and have met enough of them in person that itโs unlikely they would just sit on this.
As a coalition partner the Green Party could absolutely force this issue also, which Iโm confident they would (again, from knowing and meeting MPs)
I see that this government wants to emulate the (failing and deeply unpopular) UK government.
I imagine this will be overturned immediately by the next left-leaning government.
