Appreciate you. For me it’s less about composition and more getting the hang of the general how. I’m used to acrylic more than anything. Done a lot with oil also. I have an issue being a little heavy handed and water color was a good way to force restraint and also fun to learn a new medium.

Not my best work but I’m still getting the hang of watercolors. Pretty proud of myself. 🥰

Mini Rice Krispie layer cake with chocolate frosting and craisins that looks like it was made by a toddler.

I’m okay at many things but decorating cakes has NEVER been my forte. I made my husband a mini (homemade) Rice Krispie layer birthday cake with chocolate & craisins. This was a huge hit but I’m fairly positive there’s a toddler out there that could do a better job than I ever will. 😂

I have the greatest respect for the people who neatly place measured ingredients in bowls and take beautifully curated photos. I, however, am not one of those people, and that’s okay.

I made banana bread with mini chocolate chips and craisins. My kid is happy, I am happy.

Last of the sourdough chocolate chip cookies. I’ve been watching everyone playfully fight over this little guy for days. 🥰 I just want to make things that make people feel happy and loved. I wasted so much time being angry. It feels good to bring any amount of joy to the people I love.

My interest in sourdough started after an episode of The Chef Show……. And a few failed years of bread baking 😅. I watched countless videos of people starting their own sourdough journeys and now we are here. A little love in every loaf. ❤️

I’ve wondered what to post here. I’ve wondered where to start. I want to create a space that defines me and inspires but I put too much pressure on it. Sometimes starting is half the journey. Gotta start somewhere.

I don’t think I could find my way to being “okay” if you drew me a detailed map and that’s okay.

Things can’t always be okay, good or great, but they will get better. Someday. Eventually. I hope.
