I don't mean to boast but I actually saw Union lose twice this weekend.

What we didn't gain in points we made up for in cherished memories. And trains.

I was really hoping she would share it with me haha. I will get my own next time!

💯 I was confident she'd have about three bites and be done but it was freakish, she powered the whole thing. A nap well earned.

I'm quite fortunate at the moment because when I ask her what she wants to do on a weekend, her two answers are 'football' or 'bake a cake', and I can fully get behind those activities 😀

Yesterday's connection stop was in Wuppertal, home to this magnificent bastard of a hanging monorail.

It's a great shame for us all that these did not catch on anywhere except Wuppertal.

Forgot to mention a tip for a real treat in Bregenz - a small restaurant called Maurachbund near the middle of town.

It has recently been reopened by a lovely couple. We just stumbled on it by chance, and it was probably the nicest food we have had since moving back to Europe!

Bodensee boat day today with both Germany and Austria - very pleasantly surprised by both Lindau and Bregenz.

How great is it that you can just hop on a ferry to another country for a couple of hours and come back!

Making the most of a sunny day including a stop at the aptly named Cafe Paradies, which certainly has the terrace view to back it up!

As an Everton fan of 30+ years I refuse to feel hope, but what a start this season - incredible new ground, Dewsbury-Hall, all things Grealish, goals not from set pieces or just lumping it.

This is almost fun!
