The BBC has its faults. Iβve criticised it before & will do so again if necessary.
But nobody is going to tell me that The Traitors, Strictly, wildlife, local radio, comedy, drama (e.g. Riot Women) and more isnβt worth the licence fee.
The BBC is the Best of British.
Farage and Trump can do one.

Then go and listen to a week of American Radio.
You'll come back and voluntarily pay double the licence fee and we haven't even mentioned the iPlayer, the websites and the apps or your BBC Local Station. #BBCTees

We have some glorious trees in the Garden. All are special to us but every so often one likes to show off! This stunning Chinese Windmill Palm (Trachycarpus fortunei) has had some beautiful flowers lately. Apparently it copes well with cold & wet conditions which is just why Dave Peacock chose it!π»

The azaleas have been pretty this year but with a very short flowering spell due to the drier weather. We have lovely memories of this corner of the Garden in 2016 when the ericaceous plants were absolutely showing off!π» #whickham #gateshead #nefollowers #tyneandwear

Hidden corners of the Garden where some very practical & not very pretty work goes on. Our leaf composting bins for example. Never have any shortage of raw material for them here! We have to be patient for it to mulch down, then back onto the Garden it goes. The essence of the cycle of nature.β»οΈβΊοΈπ»
