Feel better soon so you can get planting. So frustrating to feel poorly

In some traditions, November’s #FullMoon is the Mourning Moon, and marks a time of reflection and release. Often the last full moon before the #WinterSolstice, it invites us to grieve what is lost, honour what has been & clear space for renewal in the year ahead. #WednesdayWisdom

The Blue Jays were the true winners this season. Their heart and team spirit are unmatched in baseball and any other sport. Minor league players became stars. Stars became superstars. Thank you for the memories, the fun and the great season of incredible baseball! #BlueJays

The marigold (Calendula officinalis) is the last birth flower for those born in #October. Sacred to Apollo, the sun god, its golden blooms were thought to hold protective and healing powers. To keep marigolds in the home was to invite sunlight and good fortune. #folklore #flowers

A few mangoes left on the tree mark the end of the summer season.

A few mangoes left on the tree mark the end of the summer season.

Upon the windy hills, in many a field,
The honey-bees hum slow, above the clover, Β  Β  Β  Β
Gleaning the latest sweets its blooms may yield,

A cooler day, so had a happy day tidying the garden. Oh wish we could get some rain down here. Just had to do a bit of watering...some shrubs & plants are suffering badly.

Oh thank you.....I think it is, but the colour seems so much paler than the usual darker purple/violet colour. Guess they can come in all shades of mauve.

The summer of 2020 saw the stunning installation of King’s College’s Back Lawn of a wildflower meadow. The conversion of the previously manicured lawn, dating back to 1722, has boosted biodiversity as well as being a glorious sight.
