I've had about six library holds come in during the last week and a half so I can relate.

Dentist appointment tomorrow morning since I have an awful toothache. It has been a while since my last dental appointment and I know I need to make a plan for future dental stuff because my teeth are super messed up.

Been listening to the audiobook of Tourist Season by Brynne Weaver. Yesterday I started reading This Spells Disaster by Tori Anne Martin (the book I got on Aotearoa Bookshop Day) as my bus read.

I did buy a book (just one since I got a lot of books while on holiday down in Christchurch)
This Spells Disaster by Tori Anne Martin which looked cute, queer and spooky season appropriate.

There were so many cool designs on offer that it took me a bit to choose. The tattoo I am looking at getting from Alex is some books with a witch hat.

Enamoured Books was vibing today for Aotearoa Bookshop Day. There was tea, music, give-aways and tattoos! I got this cute dragon tea tattoo from Kat from Styx and Stones Tattoo. Alex from The Fox's Mark was booked for the day by the time I made it up the line but will book in studio later.

So cute!

There's a couple of tattoo artists here doing bookish (and bookish adjacent) tattoos. I'm getting one soon then have booked for another one at a later time since one of the artists booked up quite quickly for the day.

It was great! I do need to go fess up to my library that the copy I got out had an unfortunate accident with a can of energy drink getting dented in my backpack and getting all over the book. I usually put books in a waterproof bag but I didn't that day. Oops.

I went to Ikea during my last trip to Melbourne with a friend of mine. I still think about those meatballs and its been many years.

Back in Auckland this evening. Christchurch holiday was very good for relaxing and being around my fellow book obsessives.
Was going to unpack and do laundry tonight but will leave that for tomorrow morning.
