I really don't want to make this about me at all, but I've had to add on to my house to accommodate my disabled mother in law moving in. I do not want to let these families down, but I'm a mere wage worker. Could someone please help them out?

Shouldn't even be controversial.

It's frustrating how it works on so many people. I basically don't speak to my family anymore than I feel I need to for my kids to get birthday and Christmas money from them. They all live in a different state than me, and for that, I'm grateful.

I think about this a lot. I am white. Why are "we" like this? Is it all in our culture? Does epigenetics play a part? I'm grossed out at the idea of dominating others; I really can't stand this shit. Life sucks enough, and these mfs are dedicated to making it worse for everyone.

At least one of the families is almost solely dependent on my donations. I have had to cover most of Hanan's room rent the last two months in addition to that. Not bragging, nearly begging to get more eyes and more donations to these wonderful human beings.
