Damn. had a couple of dealings with David. Saw him twice, 1990 at the Marquee and 2006 at the Mean Fiddler (Stan Ridgway as support). At that gig Stan's merch man Bob got there first & took over much of the stand, when David arrived he joked about Pere Ubu being the headliners. Continued...

You're right, that's a little better. I guess the (parody) bank siege is the opening scene, I hope the rest of the film tries to be as charmingly silly as the original.

Really don't know, Naked Gun is my favourite, most watched comedy film. We'll see how I feel in August as to whether I go to see it in the cinema...
