Beyond being highly reliant on federal spending for DoE projects, 38% of the district is on Medicare, much higher than average (Seattle's 7th is 14%). They rely the most of any WA district on the Department of Education to fund their schools.

I’m at a work event, Huey Lewis and the News is on, and we’re about to be handling axes.
