I’m a #PhD, but I came from the mud. That’s where my ppl are from + at. I help when I can, but there’s always a struggle. My life is getting better and I want to talk about it but I feel like I’m bragging. I want to be celebrated. I want validation. But I worry I’m creating distance. What do I do?

Fulbright Applicants Rejected Over “DEI” Research Proposals The Trump administration staged an unprecedented intervention in this year’s Fulbright selection process, rejecting finalists whose research deals with race, gender or climate change.

Just awful, clearly an attack on global knowledge exchange by the administration. I feel so sorry for these #Fulbright FINALISTS whose applications were rejected simply because they discussed diversity, climate change, and of course any mention of gender in their proposals.

I was blown away by my partner’s gifts this year. Among the faves were a VR headset, an iPad, and the #DanDaDan manga. I only JUST now realized he’s been playing #Fortnite for 3 hours straight.

My 2024 #NewYearsResolution was to appreciate the small things in life. I did that, and it improved my connection to the world around me. I’ve never been more grateful.
I think in 2025 I’m going to eliminate “should” statements from my vocabulary. I will do the best I can, and that will be enough.
