Today 200 people of all ages gathered to celebrate the life of game industry legend Tim LeTourneau, who all agreed: Big Iced Tea cared deeply for everyone he knew and worked with, and we miss him dearly.

I love how you have no idea Split is even in the same universe until Act 3. On their own, the sequels aren't as great as Unbreakable, but they actually hold up pretty well as a compete arc.

Rolled credits on Silent Hill f last night, just in time for Halloween. That ride was worth every penny of the new inflated game prices.

I'm not ready to invest another 30-40 hours for 4 more endings in New Game+, but maybe next Halloween?

The tragic thing about all this is, I guarantee the original vision came from someone who legitimately loved video games and pitched the idea to execs with zero knowledge of how to get started (neither the execs nor the superfan). It was greenlit with lean teams, huge budgets, and no learning.

I spent at least an hour trying to figure out how to use numerals to spell たすけて (tasukete), then appropriate 3-letter words that use the letter D, before it clicked. IYKYK

Just spent the weekend installing Debian Linux on my desktop, because Windows 10 is sunsetting and my PC doesn't have the hardware to run Windows 11. So instead of buying a whole new computer, I built myself a server. And it's pretty rad. 🤓

Zelda has been sounding the alarm on the dangers of AI for YEARS, long before the technology got to where it is now, because she's:

1) brilliant (go watch Lisa Frankenstein).
2) ridiculously smart.
3) experienced first-hand how fucking WEIRD people are about her Dad.

The worst is when, in meetings with my staff, I catch myself crossing my hands in front of my face like Gendo Ikari... 🙅🏻‍♂️

When the school bought this from me, I was afraid I might be accused of plagiarism, or they didn't realize what they were buying. Looking back, I'm happy it's there as a snapshot of what was relevant back then, and how MK originated in hometown Chicago.

Speaking of #MortalKombat, I finally found my Raiden art that my school bought off me for $50, hanging in the halls during my 30th HS reunion tour.

How about getting a free credit if you toggle the power switch on top of the Mortal Kombat machine? The hardest part was finding a machine that wasn't enveloped by a crowd with a row of quarters queued up.

Never played the game, but watched the first two seasons of the anime, and it's actually good. 🤐

I worked as a Nintendo advocate at Toys R Us at the time during the holidays. It was a dream job... until my manager told me I have to push Sega Genesis too. I argued that my job description is to push SNES and that they're being reimbursed by Nintendo for that purpose, but it fell on deaf ears.
