As of August 2, the Portuguese national mail carrier ceased to mail packages to the US because of the effing tariffs.

She’s not back home yet so it’s on hold. But the fact she asked was wonderful on its own.

Today has been an emotional day, and I’ve shed my tears, but my kiddo went out with her boyfriend and asked if I wanted chocolate from the store, so I guess it’s not all bad. And I have booze so that helps too.

Today is Meet The Boyfriend Day, Second Eldest Version. 😁

Second Eldest took her little brother on an outing today. First lunch, then some stores, then groceries, then home. That’s the plan. She just texted the family from the restaurant: someone paid for their meal. 🥺🥺🥺

The 1st time I met anti-vaxxers was on my doula training, back home, in the late 2000’s. The overlap of women seeking less intervention in birth and the natural-everything-anti-vaxxer wasn’t a perfect circle but it was close. Same group where I 1st met homeschoolers. Similar to here, minus religion.

The country is a dumpster fire but today Second Eldest bought her first set of wheels, and did it entirely with her own money. No car payment, no loans, just her hard work and savings. Happy kiddo is happy!
