This week I’m thankful for the opportunity to serve my community. Former Congresswoman Erica Lee Carter and I have gone all across Houston making sure folks have what they need to feed their families a great meal tomorrow.

The Texas GOP wants to confuse voters in the 18th congressional district with redistricting, special elections, runoff elections, primary elections, etc.

It’s a lot to keep up with, let’s clear it up.

Thank you, Seafarers International Union for welcoming me for your Thanksgiving luncheon over the weekend! Y’all are such an important part of our economy in Houston, and I couldn’t be more proud to have your support.

I fully support our Harris County Tax Assessor Collector Annette Ramirez running our voter registration.

We won’t let them take our voice or our vote. Not in Harris County. Not anywhere.

As your next member of Congress, I’ll fight to pass the Freedom to Vote Act and the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act, because we need national voting protections that block these power grabs.

All it takes is one complaint and a partisan state official.

This isn’t about election integrity. It’s about rigging the rules so they can stay in power.

🚨 Texas Republicans are trying to take over voter registration in Harris County.

This is exactly what I warned about 2 years ago.

The 18th congressional district still doesn’t have representation, but if I were in Congress, I would’ve proudly voted YES today on The Epstein Files Transparency Act.

Now, Senators Ted Cruz and John Cornyn must do the right thing and vote to pass the bill.
