Call me crazy, but I don’t think game studios should expect their roles to be “onsite” anymore. Having run a large studio team, I understand the benefits, but you can’t expect new hires to relocate in this mess. The market is too volatile, and the risks are too high for people and their families.

It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything fun. I’ve been heads down working hard on a new project as the world burns around me… But, here is a concept sketch from really early in the ideation phase. The story has shifted quite a bit so I can share. Can’t wait to show you more soon! 🎮🤔

What a time to be pitching a new game. The industry is falling apart, which is scary and daunting, and all of the expected things. But, it is also the best time to propose change. Not change for change's sake, or shiny false promises... but real change based on years of experience making stuff. 💪🎮

This may sound simple, but make sure to stay hydrated at all times. Dehydration is a HUGE trigger for me. I've gotten to a point that when I first feel ANY signs of a migraine, I pop ibuprofen and CHUG water (even if I am not thirsty), and it at least softens the blow.

As an old man who loves ice cream, the real drama is when ice cream starts to not like YOU. Still, I persist.

Worth bearing in mind that illegal entry is a misdemeanor and being unlawfully present in the country is not even a criminal offense, but a civil one. This is the equivalent of saying we need to torch the Constitution & send in the SWAT team to catch jaywalkers & people with overdue library books.
