He explained that meant I would “have to lay on the settee, on my own, and read a book all day.”

He’s clearly mistaken grounding someone for granting a little wish.

My Nan's was Dillys Pearce.

I never met either of them but I know those names 20+ years after my grandparents died.

Today I have realised the acceptable footwear for pyjamas is absolutely anything at all. Today I’m pairing black boots with navy Christmas pyjamas for a train journey.
