Back at Broadview. ICE is terrorizing our communities—tear gassing journalists, abducting people in Budget trucks, and destroying homes in South Shore.

We need leaders who will fight alongside us, not stay silent.

I promise you, as your next State Senator, you won’t have to beg me to do the bare minimum. I’ll actually fight for you—and I’ll be proactive about it.

Second, why has there been no movement in the Senate with regard to HB4086? That bill would ban ICE from covering their faces and require badge numbers be displayed—the barest minimum bill, and there isn’t even a Senate sponsor yet. Call your State Senator’s office and demand they sign on to it.

So I’m asking you all to do two things: First, call your rep and senator’s offices. Both of them. Demand they show up to the Broadview ICE facility and use their power to enact REAL oversight.

New times demand new leadership, and I’m running for State Senate because we shouldn’t have to beg our state officials to use their power to protect us—they should already be there, alongside us, in the fight.

I’m sick of having to beg my politicians to do the bare minimum to stand up for us. We need fighters. Right now, ICE is terrorizing Chicago.
