This fight is personal. I’ve had to battle my own insurance company just to access PrEP, and I know the barriers people face. As I run for State Senate, I’ll defend Illinois’ progress and push it further—because our state proves what compassionate, data-driven leadership can do. Silence = death.

We’ve come so far. Illinois has become a national leader in HIV prevention—we’ve expanded access, invested in care, and set a bold goal of fewer than 100 new HIV diagnoses a year by 2030. Tools like PrEP (a daily pill that cuts HIV risk by up to 99%) make that progress possible.
