One year ago, almost to the hour, watching Jupiter rise over Cape Canaveral. Earlier that day Europa Clipper set sail for that point of light. Several of my colleagues who were helping tell that story got laid off today. They did excellent work. They made a difference. I hope they know I love them.

Before it was Mount St. Helens, it was Lawetlat’la—Loowit, the smoking mountain.

To the Cowlitz (Upper Cowlitz/Taidnapam) and Yakama (Klickitat), the volcano is alive—a place of story, balance and renewal.

The Otman-Bozdagh mud volcano erupted at ~8:27am local time today (11/10/25).

Three eruption phases of between 4-12 minutes were recorded over an ~40 minute period.
