My grandmother generation did all that. I suspect it was because the only men around didn't serve. I don't know why my mother's didn't. Maybe discomfort. They did grow up in the Nazi shadow and it potentially feels normal.

I, so far, still do not need opioids or surgery. My non addictive meds work.

Where's that other shoe?

Fear lead.

What if I wake up and have to have the surgery? What if having a TBI ... will I know myself? What about everyone who relies on me? Who I care for? Who will help them?

Will I Know Me?

Will I be able to create? Will anyone ever know I created to begin with?

Teal Ribbon, says Trigeminal Neuralgia, Brain Surgery Survivor. Flour in center, daisy, has heart with warrior.

I made this art in 2020. Knowing many have found the only relief, safe harbor from the pain, was opioids and surgery.

I was and am fighting against both.

Still doing ok. Amazingly. Yesterday, had a close call when a repetitive alarm overwhelmed me with sound and flash.
Got to the car, took my meds, very early. Staved it off.

Other minor head bumps, stress, more stress, mom stress, TMJ, poor dental care and not enough under gum, aka deep, cleanings. If you don't like the dentist, get over it. It drastically increases the probability you'll end up with TN.

Be patient while I explore and figure this out.

We're experiencing day 1 of a Bomb Cyclone and a Atmospheric River is NorCal for the next 5 days. Navigating that.

#TrigeminalNeuralgia hasn't flaired, yet. I'll be upping my meds. I'm lucky, I don't take opioids despite being 4 years into this.
