Mojo told me about it today. You can go to someone's profile within a discord server and press 'Ignore [NEW]' and then you won't get notifications for their messages, and when you're in the channel it will say '1 message ignored' and then you can tap to show it.

Not to be too shady on main but @discord.com adding the 'Ignore' feature so I no longer get notifications or have to read messages of people I don't like saying things in channels I follow is what I've been wanting for YEARS and I am so grateful.

Those of you who know me know a lot of my work is in the marching band / drum corps / color guard world. Is that kind of photography too niche for BlueSky? Should I post my band work on BlueSky or just keep it things for a more general audience?

People coming to this country want to build a better future for themselves and their families, and they should be given the opportunity to. The way this country was built was by immigrants showing up with a dream and placing the bricks to build it. Why should that change?

My fever dream is that we should literally have planned communities/cities that can be built on federally owned land along highways. Let people work to live, let people learn how trades are done in the US by doing them in a city they build from the ground up and then get to live in.

This is not a dis @ people. Generally I want to believe all people who engage should be acknowledged. But I’ve been getting a lot of people who are very bot-y or are just antagonistic.

More and more, the public social internet is just not a great place. I need better vetting on platforms.

One of these days I’ll learn that when someone who averages 0 engagement with their posts responds to me, I should keep their average where it’s at.
