What name would you have preferred over Big 4? I get blank stares usually when I mention the Big 4 - but no different than when I mention the B&O, Pennsy or most any other Indy-area trails.

The name has historical significance even if the name means nothing to most.

I somehow missed seeing this terrifying video posted by @ryanlkent.bsky.social 3 months ago. I’ve done this same crossing on the B&O Trail at West 10th in #Indy scores of times and even with its modern HAWK signal system, some bozo is likely to blow through it. Luckily, Ryan wasn’t struck. #bike

How? Indiana is controlled by a massive MAGA-Republican super-majority and rather than upset rural Republican farmers they changed the original plan and in secret decided to pipe the LEAP industrial waste 30 miles to a bird sanctuary in Indy (led by a spineless, invisible Democratic mayor).

No doubt the elm tree didn’t survive disease but tulip trees live hundreds of years. I wonder what became of it?

This sounds so bad. Damn. SUV going 45 mph in a 30 mph zone. Within a block of both a “Share the lane” sign and a “Ped crossing” sign. Next to a city park. Street lights everywhere. I assume sidewalks there are impassible due to snow.

It’s just unfathomable to me that people think it makes sense for any law enforcement to be masked and anonymous. Police officers operate under risks and don’t wear masks. Judges & prosecutors, the same.

I really enjoyed reading “The Martian” and the movie was ok, I guess. I was excited to read Weir’s second book, “Project…”, but I set it aside after about 4 chapters. My dislike of it surprised me since I had anticipated that I’d like it - but IMO it stunk. Maybe I’d like the movie when it is out?

Addition photos of traffic violence in this location in past three years. Even these concrete barriers can’t protect pedestrians and cyclists against traffic.

The newest example of traffic violence along the barrier “protected” 56th St causeway, part of #Indy’s Eagle Creek Trail.
