Pulled one of my favorite books off the shelf yesterday rather randomly and was pleasantly reminded that my aunt Ruthie gave it to me. Well before my current life even took hold. Today is her birthday. She was a marvelous human being.

I finally [and reluctantly] finished, Look Homeward Angel last week. It was one of the most enjoyable books I’ve read. I’ve savored it over the last five months, ever since we visited Asheville’s Thomas Wolfe Memorial State Historic Site last September, on our way to Kentucky to visit Bailey.
