All I'm saying is that this shit would be a slam dunk for Midway or Acclaim, and it's nice to find something like that in a new, morphed for the modern day and age game.

It's like how you had, in Sony's case, your Ratchet and Clanks + Jak and Daxters, but then a tier below you might have something like a Whiplash or I-Ninja or a Vexx - that's where I think Stellar Blade really shines in this modern gaming ecosystem. just at a higher price point

I don't think there's anything intrinsically wrong with that, but this is the kinda stuff that would be a console's bread and butter in the mid 00s like Darksiders or your Captain Blood of the modern day

not necessarily one of the cornerstones for your exclusives, yknow

I mean it very lovingly as well, I love these kinda games, I grew up on that style of genremash action adventure where the inspirations are on its sleeve for a fun ride.

It's just that the key characteristic is a kinda porny horniness that's seperate from the gameplay itself.

playing stellar blade and you know what it really reminds me of

darksiders 1. in the way that it's clearly taking a lot from Nier Automata and Soulslike gameplay in the same way that Darksiders 1 took from Zelda and Devil May Cry.

Stellar Blade is a an action adventure game from the early oughts.

it's actually the game i'm the least amped about given how positively packed this state of play

it's super pretty, but what i'm seeing in the gameplay has me 1. kinda worried it's gonna pull the bits from strive i don't like like the wallbreaks and 2. super jingly keys imo
