Supervising CHWs often means making decisions without actionable data. So, what if we could give supervisors insights at their fingertips?
A childβs development shouldnβt be left to chance. But in many health systems, care is fragmented and parents donβt have the tools to support their children.

A big THANK YOU to:
π Gloria Kahamba, our Country Director
π Grace Mapunda, my supervisor
π And every D-tree staff member who supported me with warmth and guidance!
Most of all, I learned how to leverage technology in public health. Iβm leaving D-tree confident and inspired to keep building a career in digital health π
17.06.2025 10:26 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0My internship also helped me grow professionally:
π£ Improved communication & coordination
π Joined the forum for women & girls in digital health (Tanzania)
π Learned how apps connect to the Unified Community System (UCS)
What I worked on in the past months:
β
Ensured health workers had airtime & internet to sync data
β
Trained on app use + created user guides & videos
β
Documented project milestones & shared success stories
β
Represented D-tree at conferences
So why D-tree? 3 things motivated me to apply:
π§π½ My passion for improving childrenβs health
π± Curiosity about using tech to improve service delivery
π’ Eagerness to learn how real-time data can inform decisions
Before joining D-tree, I worked on different health & nutrition projects with several organizations. I saw the real impact that preventive care can make.
17.06.2025 10:26 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0But along the way, I realized something: as a doctor, Iβd mostly treat people after theyβre sick.
What I wanted was to prevent illnessβespecially among childrenβso they can survive, thrive, and live out their dreams.
My journey into health started with a childhood shaped by lots of illness and school absenteeism. Despite that, I performed well academically and always dreamed of becoming a doctor.
