Unrelated except that it's about movies: I heard your Sneakers recommendation and it made me think of Space Truckers. It's delightful in a similar way to Sneakers. A bit more slap stick, but so, so fun.

I've never voted any other way, it's the best thing ever. I can appreciate people like going to a place to vote (you can still do that in WA if you really wanna), but I prefer filling in bubbles at my leisure as I research stuff. Mail-in *does* get more people to vote, and the GOP hates that... 💁

Still, it won't hurt to cure your ballot if it was challenged. You can update your signature so it doesn't happen next time, if that was what caught yours. 🤷

Nitpick: I reject the idiom "on pins and needles" because that, to me, means "foot fell asleep feeling" not "waiting nervously". Nothing is anticipatory about foot fell asleep to me, it's "aw gaddamnit feck not again ow ow!" I'd say "on tenterhooks" or "on edge" or...IDK but not pins and needles. 😤

Both city-wide races, too. The whole first pass of the Comprehensive Plan (put together by the mayor's office) being bare minimum... feeding the SPD black hole with money... spending money moving homeless people from place to place instead of using that for, idk...services and shelter??

6/ more specifically: "Any voter with a signature challenge can fix the issue and have their ballot counted by filling out and returning a form to King County Elections by 4:30 pm the day before the election is certified." So that's by 4:30pm on November 24th. Don't wait! Cure today! :D

The route to my fave ballot box crosses the raising bridges and once or twice I was cutting it so close that a boat going through would have made me too late.

4/ Do keep in mind counting continues, and final results + certification documents are November 25th. So if either can get above 2000, we'll know who's mayor before Thanksgiving. If not, it'll be another week-ish after that, based on how long last year's recount took, before it's settled. 🤞

Idk how many votes are left to count, but we are in hand-recount territory today. SUPER important to make sure everyone's ballot is counted!
