Yes! It may be a while (2027 probably). I’m just putting the first chapter together and will probably put it on my blog when in full first draft… early in the New Year I hope. Have you read the first in the series? There are some second hand ones on Amazon now. amzn.eu/d/iu3HfNG

Nobody's Girl: A Memoir of Surviving Abuse and Fighting for Justice Nobody's Girl: A Memoir of Surviving Abuse and Fighting for Justice eBook : Roberts Giuffre, Virginia: Amazon.co.uk: Kindle Store

This is the most distressing book I have ever read. But every adult in the US and UK needs to read it, especially men. Then we need to start lobbying our governments to expose the whole story. Including a US subpoena for Mr Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and his ex (?) wife.

Warming oceans probably fueling Hurricane Melissa’s rapid intensification Climate scientists have long warned that warming oceans are making such explosive storm development more common

‘The impact of climate change is putting lives at risk on islands and in coastal areas… With 90% of our extra heat going into our oceans, we’re seeing these oceans warm and they’re rising. And that plays out with sea level rise.’

Welcome to South Asia, where many languages have this. E.g. my māmā (maternal uncle in Bengali), can be my mother's brother or cousin. In the same way that cousins are also brothers/sisters (and you might hear "cousin-brother/sister" from South Asians when speaking in English).

What. A. Scandal.

And it’s already happening. When will we have unilateral agreement on climate change response? It feels like we are going backwards.

⭐ After quite some time in the making, I’m excited to share our new paper!🌿⭐

We examined people's climate-relevant behaviors (driving, air travel, public transport use, and meat consumption) and their perceptions of how feasible it would be to change them (+ expected wellbeing impacts).

Getting back to sleep: understanding biphasic normality Can some previously little-known information about our ancestors’ sleeping patterns help us to better understand modern insomnia?

For those whose sleep is negatively impacted by the seasonal changes of the clock - might biphasic sleeping be of any assistance? @drpam outlines evidence that suggests this might be a more natural way to sleep.

I do blame QEII and Phil for a lot of what Andrew became. She was an exemplary Queen, but both were mediocre parents. The way Diana was brought into the situation by C & C should also be put under a much brighter spotlight now, including the parts older generations played.

I hear my mum’s voice in my head here: ‘when the docks were being bombed day & night for weeks, everything was crazy.’ They only got snatched sleep in air raid shelters then. She was one of the kids who was evacuated, then brought back just before the blitz. She lost her post-11 education to WWII.

Yes, the clock is just a reference for me now I’m retired from non-homebased work. I’m also a biphasic sleeper and now usually manage sleep the 7 hours I struggled to get when I was teaching uni. yorkshirebylines.co.uk/news/health/...

Iain Hollingshead: Whatever happened to Double Summer Time? Iain Hollingshead: Seventeen thousand people gathered around Stonehenge on Wednesday to mark the summer solstice, cheering and beating drums as the sun rose at 04.58 BST.

Of course our distant ancestors didn’t have to cope with any of this; their activities were seasonally determined by daylight around the year. Our more recent ancestors had more complex solutions.

That wouldn’t help people with winter depression, artificial light is not an effective replacement. Artificial lights that are designed to mimic sunlight as much as possible can help, but it’s not a complete replacement.

How does he pay for it all? The mystery of Prince Andrew’s money The disgraced royal has lived in luxury for decades despite being an outcast and having no obvious means of financial support

So from this account, it seems once the government stopped paying senior royals a ‘wage’ those not satisfied with what ‘mummy’ allocated to them began using their status to seek cash for the provision of connections. And that some were to dim to spot when they were being compromised. 🫣
