Going to the hair salon tomorrow and I don’t even know what I’m getting rip me

because some of these kids — the youngest is 18 and will have that Dr at 22! — have never experienced failure before. Ever. They’ve spent their entire lives at the top of their classes, rarely getting even a ‘B’. Idk, I just think they need more time and they’ll see failure is okay sometimes!

So. I will almost 100% need to remediate one of my classes. Which’s sucks but also isn’t the end of the world. That is something that I appreciate about getting my advanced degree later in life, having that perspective and understanding that failure isn’t the end but just another step in the process

Reporting from hell (school):
Everyone is using gena/i isnsuch disturbing ways. These people are going to be healthcare providers and they can’t be trusted to write a summary. A single paragraph summary. And that is disturbing to me to say the least. Worse, professors ENCOURAGE it.

*wednesday, not Monday. Such a mistake does not bode well for me I fear.

About to crash out. If I get good marks on my exams on Monday I’m going to buy and read some manga, as a treat. If I get bad marks on my exams, I’m going to [redacted] and buy one or two manga to cheer myself up. Either way, I get manga.

Instead of studying for an incredibly important exam I cleaned my whole apartment, organized my bathroom, and did my laundry. Now I am considering baking something. Procrastination is so powerful.

ive been sober for over ten years and have never had so many people ignore me when I say “I don’t want a drink” as I have tonight. Including someone trying to trick me into drinking something. Like what’s the fucking point?? I’m sober for a fucking reason, ok? Yikes. and now k just feel bummed Out.

Unfortunately my physical symptoms of stress are getting progressively more severe lately. Not a lot I can do about it but I guess to try and get to the gym more and work on my breathing exercises. What else is there?

Anyway. First exam tomorrow. If I bomb it I’m going to do something drastic (like buy a stupid amount of manga) and if I do well I’ll treat myself (like buy a stupid amount of manga) the only difference will be if I enter my cc info through tears of pain or relief.
