Film of the weekend: Spinal Tap II. Liked it! Similar to the new Naked Gun, just a fundamentally positive piece of work. I'm probably just too generally beaten down to properly laugh at stuff much anymore, but as with Naked Gun definitely had a few sensible chuckles, so score.

(To be fair, since thinking about it and more playing - the bosses have been pretty reasonable so far, so I think it's at least partly my lack of trust they're going to be fair/doable!)

It's definitely the most aversive bit of Silksong for me so for, death runs back to bosses. It's not enjoyable in that context at all.

Went to see The Roses - found it OK, but couldn't quite get on board with the Theo character, or maybe how Cumberbatch acted him; there was a charisma imbalance there versus Ivy/Colman. He was kind of the bad guy which I think isn't the aim. Film's possibly a useful relationship therapy tool though!

Also, the place was *full* of elderly people, since Thursday Murder Club was on at the same time - was evidently very much a draw for that audience!

Weirdly I almost walked at at the start because it felt very boring, but that was obviously temporary.

I'm very much still not in shape at all, but compared to last year when I started picking up simple bodyweight(*) exercises again, it's definitely got a lot better. I'm not feeling much from my little set of lunges etc that'd have me limping for three days before :D

(*) which is <a lot> kg though.

And, what does "more research" look like for people, especially if they don't have at least some kind of scientific training? If it's listening to more podcasts of a certain type, or more reading what algorithms present to you, it could/would just mean more and more exposure to mis-/disinformation.
