1 _ minimizing the Chat window does make thing smoother and i also tried reducing the number of channel i join to minimal, so i believe all logg sources could add up to performance issues.

2 _ having a lot of Tray slot on the screen does have an impact , especial when adding 2nd Big Tray Slot.

The Ark Royal is serving as a test bed to get player reactions, and some performance testing, on adding SecDefs to Science Carriers.

Since it's going well (based solely on player reactions), we'll likely review our existing stable of Sci Carriers to see about adding SecDefs to them as well.
