anyways this is on my mind with the whole “can an orokin be redeemed” thing buddy I’ve been cosplaying as one in game for months

also it’s wild how much I struggled the first time I tried to fight an eidolon vs now. again titania mvp for getting things done.

man. I didn’t mean to make up lore for my drifter/operator but I sure did. those damn blue skin tones you get for completing a school really tricked me in to making a fully fleshed out oc

(I also hate canon abdel adrian but that’s a petty personal grudge because I hate him so much. See also: games not respecting player choices in previous games. alas, not everything can be dragon age 1-3 or mass effect.)

and the other part is sarevok’s inclusion and… all that. I think they could have made it work, and larian’s never shied away from completely ignoring what happened in a previous game to do whatever they want regards to canon and choices you can make, so I half-expected it going in but man.

my issues with viconia are my standard issues with forgotten realms evil women writing (especially drow) and I don’t really fault larian because they did so damn good with minthara. I feel like it’s gotta be restrictions on the part of wizards wrt what can happen with legacy characters, but idk

mostly things regarding the characters from bg 1+2! I’ll make a thread on discord some time and elaborate a little.

(I do like jaheira here and I’ve never liked minsc and I think they’re both mostly fine, but viconia and one other character made me pretty upset)

again. i joked when playing bg1+2 pre three coming out that it was going to make me insufferable when it came out and boy do i wish i'd been wrong.

bg3 is a really good game with a few parts that are so infuriatingly bad i want to never play it again when i come to them.

also i can rant about the two stupid parts i hate to her without spoilers

gf has now passed the two parts of bg3 i cannot stand! woohoo! i can watch in peace now! i can watch it without waiting for the parts that i hate!

really enjoying aerie in general!

doing rasaad's romance, and i'm not loving the writing on his main story, but it has been genuinely interesting to see his personality more fully.

went back and forth on my party for the later chapters. settled on aerie, rasaad, keldorn, cernd, and imoen. was going to take minsc (finally) instead of imoen but he offered to swap for her so she wasn't left there and i couldn't resist.

really enjoying seeing aerie and keldorn's dialogue.

i'm playing as a wild mage and i've gotten hit by the gender swap twice!
