Everyone knows the gay coworker who you’d never guess was queer. They blend in perfectly. It’s not a win, just a different closet.

Even cis people get to celebrate and romanticize their identities, but many queer people have been traumatized into thinking if we achieve a kind of corporate normalcy everything will be ok. It won’t be. You should be able to be different from cis, male, white, etc culture and still feel safe.

I hate how liberals celebrate diverse identities by making them as mundane as possible. They cheer them on à la office pizza party.

Being trans in a world that sees transness as mundane is only better because trans people are persecuted right now.

I like Led Zeppelin much more than any of my former peers from music school, so I am either better than all of them or I'm blinded by my shameful crush on Robert Plant.

It’s something I’ve been thinking about for a while, making a yt channel or something that emphasizes that kind of growth and making clear where knowledge is lacking (something most video essayists and commentators do not do, instead putting themselves up as authorities)

I think it would be a great benefit if public figures made a point of showing how they are learning too, and that they are a living process like everyone else, instead of a stagnant avatar for this or that ideology.
