A screenshot of a wikipedia footnote which reads the following: Disney, which produced The Lion King (2019), considered the film to be live-action despite the entire film (aside from its opening shot) being computer animated. Others, such as the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (then-presenter of the Golden Globe Awards), deemed it to be animated based on specified criteria.

Just randomly being reminded of my favorite footnote on a Wikipedia article - from the "List of Highest grossing animated films" (on which the "Live Action" Lion King currently sits 3rd):
