My annual self evaluation over the years has followed about the same arc as Red’s parole hearing performances in Shawshank. Years ago I spent a lot of time putting my best foot forward and now I’ll like “just write ‘meets expectations’ on your eval form, missy, and let me get on with my stuff.”

It’s the bittersweet symphony, that’s life.
Try to make ends meet, you’re a space to money then you die.

Get them in earlier and make them stay in the workforce longer. Sounds like a dream existence in the wealthiest country in the world.

Trying to correct my eating habits means constantly trying to quell cravings with by tricking myself with healthier, less satisfying food.

I wonder how many people have a secret contact saved in their phone as “Spam Risk.”

I think yelling “the stock market is up! We should be talking about that!” whenever I am confronted with something is the way to go.

I was in the grocery store and “Your Body is a Wonderland” came on over the speakers, but the word “body” was censored. Like, you don’t want a song about a guy exploring a woman’s body in the grocery store. I get that. Then don’t play the song at all. Why play it and censor it?
