This is how propaganda & disinformation spreads.

Watched it twice just to see *someone's* facial expression suddenly but subtly drop, confirming what you probably already knew.

An older adult, using a cane, walks hand in hand with a young child. On the adult's body is depicted an hourglass with the top nearly empty as the sands of time have almost run out. The young child's body also bears an hourglass, nearly full, whose own sands have just begun to run down.

The more years I spend working with children, the more I realize that this is why I do it.

Reminds me of my days in college radio. We had an old Smurfs album from Smurf knows where in our music library. Every song on the album was red-flagged by the music director for obscene and indecent language, so unfortunately we couldn't play a single song on the air.

Watched ep. 1 of "A Man on the Inside". It was pretty OK, but then the closing credits music started and it was Olivia Tremor Control's The Opera House. Leapt out of my chair, stood 2 feet from the TV, & ugly cried. I watched those credits 3 times, but I don't know if I can go back for episode 2.

Just know that once you crush the noodles you're crafting your own masterpiece so you make the rules. Leaving then whole is less commitment but you can still make a classy dish.

Stellarium! I used to use Sky Map but Stellarium wins by a mile when it comes to features--even without upgrading to premium. I love that I can fast forward to a certain time of day or night. It was recommended to me by a member of our local astronomy club, and now it's my all time favorite.

JB certainly had to know what (whom) he was protecting his son from. I'm guessing they would have made an example of HB--to the full extent that the law allowed. No plea deals. The cruelty is the point.

Whenever I'm overcome by a feeling of impending doom at the enormity of what's just around the corner, I take a breath & relish each moment of my remaining agency & autonomy as a woman. For at least 7 more weeks I can (mostly) say what choose, dress how I choose, & cross state lines at will. USA! :/

eBooks! When you've got 5 minutes here & there to doomscroll or watch videos, read a page, or even a paragraph. Once or twice per day you'll probably get sucked in for longer than that. If it doesn't hook you after a few tries, shelve it & try another. Or take a break from reading, guilt-free.
