ok yeah it wasn't changed in localisation. which I expected since it's the in-game explanation for the main collectable, but also it's a very good example of something that comes off differently to people from the culture being depicted (although I'm not American either lol)

I would imagine to the Japanese devs who are unfamiliar with what parts of Japanese culture are common knowledge in the west it comes off as very sweet cultural exchange but as a native English speaker I can't help but think This idiot's never heard of the 1000 paper crane thing LMAOOOOOOOO

started playing Another Code today and something that really stands out to me is the in-game anecdote of an American scientist guy learning from his Japanese wife what a paper crane is and how to make one and that people make a bunch and use them to wish for good health and all

I just have to write a small script and then deliver a presentation in a few weeks and I'll have finished my first year of school in 18 years! last year that I finished was year 2 at 7yo and I'm 25 now. feels weird but it's nice to know I can do it

i can't tell if it's an optical illusion i've never noticed before or new hallucination unlocked but recently it looks like there's a gradient to a lighter colour any time a colour is close to linework and it's reaaaally distracting when I'm trying to draw

a while back a guy i know who afaik does not know about my transgender origins was doing an impression of me and put on a really deep voice as part of it which is like the highest compliment you can give someone whose voice started dropping in adulthood i feel

it also means that you get to have a cute case on your phone itself WHILE it's in the wallet case. which is the most important thing I think.

seriously why are adhesive wallet phone cases not more common? like i said cospa's the only brand I could find that makes them and the one I have came with like 3 spare adhesive sheets but the single piece of adhesive it started with has held my phone perfectly for 2 years

my cospa bayo phone case is starting to wear quite a bit after 2 years so I decided to replace her but I genuinely cannot find any manufacturers that make the same wallet phone case style they do? so I guess I'll be ordering a few of their newer cases (i see miku and eva and cowboy bebop)

I like Strider as a design and a boss fight but I wish he was his own character. Luka to me is best as someone who has no magic and gets by entirely on luck and connections (and sometimes some skill lol)

eyes of bayo3 is a fun read because it's mostly later-stage production art and renders and then occasionally you get hit with bombs like "singularity was based on tilda swinton" and "we wanted to make a horror game level" and "werewolf luka was originally invisioned as a spin-off game" HUH?!?!?
