cr already supports tons of features for their subtitle renderer and having two tracks one normal for w/e else isn’t really difficult to produce either.

It IS lazy though. On the part of the streaming services, that is. They could use a fraction of the budget they allocate to whatever AI nonsense they are spending billions on and improve their subtitle rendering across the board to at least support a bare minimum like multiple lines, positioning etc
