#Blindboxes are consumerist nonsense. I don't see enough people talking about the amount of waste they create, or about how they are manipulative gambling money pits. Too many collectors giving these a pass just because they fill their shelves with colorful plastic in the shape of things they like.

With this thought, I was more interested in exploring how humanity invents languages (like math) to describe the universe in ways that make sense to us, but may not make sense outside of human perception. This "shower thought" is meant to be more philosophical than pragmatic.

Sure. I'm more talking about how, out of necessity, math is based around various axioms (aka assumptions). One such axiom is what "1" means. We all agree on it, and base higher mathematics around it, but "1" is not a concept that exists in the universe without human perception.

To me the "objective" reality is what exists without human perception. Even the simple concept of counting objects is subjective. You can count two objects, and they may still exist whether you were there or not, but to count them you still defined what an "object" was, and that's subjective.

At first I thought #godot metadata was not that useful, since it's a bunch of magic numbers and strings. BUT you can use enums instead and assign them in your #gdscript! This is so helpful for determining types of colliders on collisions and raycasts.

After nearly three decades, I've finally beaten Fate.

It's a kind of physics based puzzle game where you can't move freely, but instead you lock on to objects in the scene and use their movement/rotation to get to a goal. It's a relatively small idea I've had in my head for a while that I think will be good for a first project in a new engine.

I've been making a game as I have fallen prey to the "Indie Game Streamer tries to make a game" pipeline.

ZERO experience, learning with a combo of tutorials and AI + chat.

It's been extremely fun and addictive.

I've been learning Godot myself! Coming from Unity it's a bit of a brain bender, but I'm getting used to it.

The only honest version of yourself is the one that you allow to change.

I also have an engineering background, and I've been getting into improv comedy and standup for the last few years. It's been fun working a completely different part of my brain.

I think it's better than a lot of other recent Marvel content because they wrote a more focused character-driven story and gave it time to breathe on screen.

Genuinely yes. This should be Marvel's new baseline for quality.

These days, I mostly listen to video game soundtracks and soft jazz music. The jazz is for working, the soundtracks are for dreaming.

It was a pleasure to go to the Bernie Sanders rally in Boise, Idaho. The turnout was incredible, and for a moment it really felt like there may be some hope left for this state.

I might be giving the admin too much credit here, but the oligarchs must be getting something out of this.

The economy could be being tanked on purpose, to starve out small businesses. The billionaires on Trump's side could be accepting these as temporary losses that they know they can ultimately survive. Afterwards, they will be the only ones left to pick up the pieces. #tariffs #economy #oligarchy
