Like particulate matter, asbestos can’t be processed by a macrophage. What makes asbestos unusually harmful is the fiber’s rod-like shape. Often, the rod is too long for a macrophage to fully engulf, leading to the macrophage being impaled.

Because “objective truth” and “absolute morality” and “they will go to hell” and “they will corrupt others so they must be stopped/silenced/…” and similar excuses. This is a coherent set of beliefs, trying to poke holes with logic is pointless IMHO.
