Fun fact: the Nikon F3s battery died not long after this and I have a new appreciation for my FM2’s mechanical shutter. There’s not a store that sells LR44s nearby.

Worse ways to wake up

I borrowed one for a few weeks and it was pretty great. I could sell most of my stuff to get one but I honestly don't know if it would be worth it. It was kind of nerve wracking walking around with $3000 swinging around my neck.

PLOT TWIST today it just...stopped firing the shutter. I had to adjust it to about 5 different speeds, wasting a frame every time to even hear a shutter sound. My camera sarcophagus will NOT contain a Kiev 4.

I dunno, I have an immediate desire to edit things to some standard thats in my head and I'm trying to kill that. Flip it, mild adjustments, clone out any scanning artifacts and move on with my life. I say all that, but I rarely do all that. But that's what I _should_ do.

I'm fascinated by how the greens look I the shade compared to the light with Lomo Color '92. I also left the magenta cast in the film.

I am finishing my third roll in the Kiev today, the first two rolls had a variety of issues, maybe my fault, probably not. All this to say a slightly used Kiev may be for sale, or I will bury this with me like a Pharaoh. There is no middle option.

Reminder A&M people and culture are so damn weird.

Plenty to complain about being an Auburn fan, but man Arkansas has a curse on it that I am so glad I don’t have to deal with. They will show some promise and then self destruct spectacularly. I’ve seen it most of my life.
