Mario Draghi and Enrico Letta will be at the Competitiveness Summit in Belgium tomorrow.

Praise be.

The success of Big Farm needs to be studied. These immense, regressive subsidies should go to greener, more ethical farms and to other sectors in need (e.g., tech, defence).

Leading EU lawmakers push for fixed AI Act deadlines | MLex | Specialist news and analysis on legal risk and regulation Leading European Parliament lawmakers Arba Kokalari and Michael McNamara want fixed deadlines for delayed AI Act high-risk obligations, removing the European Commissionโ€™s discretion to advance them. Their draft also restores AI literacy duties for developers and users, narrows sensitive data use, calls for adequate AI Office resources, and seeks consistency with sectoral law.

Important that any new deadline is contingent on standards, rather than shooting in the dark at another date. Otherwise, it'll be Groundhog Day all over again

On the AI Act, the EU Need Not Move Fast and Break Things: - Chamber of Progress Policymakers should slow down the rollout of the AI Act, not to water it down, but to ensure its proper enforcement

6/ The solution is common sense: only start enforcing the Act's strictest requirements AFTER compliance guidance is available. Read more here: progresschamber.org/insights/ai...

5/ ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡บ Move Fast and Break Things is Silicon Valley. Europe should move carefully and build things that last. Otherwise, AI compliance becomes an impossible choice for European entrepreneurs.

03.02.2026 14:20 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

4/ ๐ŸŽฒ Instead, the Commission has rolled the dice. Its 15-month enforcement pause may or may not pass, may not pass in time, and may be withdrawn at any moment.

3/ โฐ 110+ major EU companies, including Airbus, ASML, and Mistral, are demanding more time.

03.02.2026 14:20 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

2/ ๐Ÿ“‹ This is no ordinary bill. The AI Act is nearly twice the length of GDPRโ€”with more articles, recitals, and 13 annexes. Companies need adequate time to adjust.

1/ โš–๏ธ It's not just the enforcement guidelines. The technical standard to help companies comply? Two years overdue. Yet enforcement looms THIS AUGUST. This wonโ€™t end well.

Inevitably, the Commission has missed another deadline, giving AI companies time to prepare for the #AIAct. The EU should end this chaos ๐Ÿงต

Chamber of Progress | Technology's Progressive Future Chamber of Progress is a center-left tech industry policy coalition promoting technologyโ€™s progressive future.

๐ŸŽฏ UK automated ridehailing isnโ€™t speculative. Itโ€™s grounded in real-world trials, safety data, legislation, and economic modelling. Check out the full report: progresschamber.org

๐ŸŒ 108m kg CO2e avoided annually by 2035 through AV efficiency gains (better routing, consistent speeds, optimised braking).

๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ Human error causes 88% of all road collisions. AVs eliminate that entirelyโ€”no drunk driving, no fatigue, no distractions.
