Today marks the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women. To honour it, with Commissioner @hadjalahbib.bsky.social we co-hosted an event focused on gender-based cyber violence.

From medical countermeasures to defense coordination, the EU is rethinking crisis preparedness.

Great meeting with EU Commissioner @hadjalahbib.bsky.social to reinforce our cooperation in providing humanitarian aid outside the EU, also with UN agencies, and investing in long-term preparedness and resilience.

We are working together to build a secure and stable future for all.

The EU will not be intimidated. We stand shoulder to shoulder with Ukraine and will continue to provide every support needed until a just and lasting peace is secured

This attack is another reminder of the brutal reality Ukrainians face daily.

Russia’s war continues to rain terror on civilians and infrastructure, in complete disregard of humanity and international law.

Our EU Delegation in #Kyiv was heavily damaged this morning when a Russian missile struck a neighbouring building.

The explosion shattered windows and caused a ceiling collapse.

As the world’s top donor, the EU stands with you, saving lives in Sudan, Gaza, Ukraine and beyond.

2024 was the deadliest year ever for aid workers. 2025 may be worse.

Today, I am taking part in the Foreign Affairs Council urgently convened by @kajakallas. On the agenda:

Ukraine. No peace can be lasting without 🇺🇦 at the table.
Gaza. The humanitarian situation is unbearable.

This is no time for division. 🇪🇺 must speak with one single voice.

Less than 3 hours after #Albania requested assistance to fight wildfires, 2 Canadairs from 🇬🇷 & 1 from 🇮🇹 from the #rescEU fleet were deployed this afternoon.

The canadairs are offering support to local teams battling the fires in Vlora & Dibër counties.

Following the escalation in the #MiddleEast, 8 EU Member States activated the Union Civil Protection Mechanism to assist EU citizens affected by airspace closures in the region.

So far, almost a thousand people were brought back to the EU.

Ahead of tomorrow’s FAC on the #MiddleEast, we will not lose sight of #Gaza.

Food, water & sanitation are critically lacking in Gaza. The latest #GenevaAcademy report exposes how Israeli policies violate intl humanitarian law by denying families safe water.

This must end.

To refugees everywhere, I say: You are not alone. You are not forgotten.

I am with you. The European Union is with you — always and everywhere.

We cannot let these people down. They deserve rights, dignity, and the chance for a better life.

It’s our moral duty and in our own interests. When humanitarian aid is interrupted, the consequences can go far beyond: instability, migration and radicalisation.
