Can anyone explain to me why the Left don’t just join the Greens.
I’m struggling to see the benefit of having two Left wing Parties right now.
Why are our governments so wedded to the Israeli project.
To the vast majority of us it is clearly so totally wrong and unacceptable to stand by and watch the daily killing of innocent people.
No explanations from the politicians ever - just blind support for Israel regardless.
I don’t get it!
Starmer’s Centrist government have turned the Labour Party in to the UK equivalent of the US Democrats.
Not a single intention to redistribute wealth more fairly. And as in US, driving the electorate to the Right.
Loving the Greens right now!

We have very few resources.
We have an ageing population.
We don’t like work.
There’s really not a lot here for greedy people.
But for some reason we need a huge defence budget.
Might it be because, wrongly, we still believe we are some kind of important world power?
What a shame the ‘grown ups’ are back in charge of the Labour Party.
It’s going to take some work to claw our way back from the almighty shitfest their lies and greed are causing this time.
It’s a long time since I thought Starmer was ok!

And what does Starmer do to help - he sanctions a couple of members of the Israeli government.
He saves no lives and he feeds no one.
30 billion for nuclear power.
That’s enough to insulate, put solar panels, and a battery into 1,200,000 houses.
And we all know the nuclear will take longer and cost more than they say - it always does!
I run a market stall and I often get asked if I have some kind of label or other.
I always say, ‘Maybe I do, but I don’t see it as a problem - I see it as an asset.
Don’t let this education system tell you that you have a problem just because you don’t fit in to their narrow, limited vision of life.
I’m guessing we’re not quite so keen on the trade deal with Trump now?
But only yesterday Starmer was the greatest ever for getting it back on the agenda.
How can the politicians not see a pile of shit when it’s staring them in the face.

Less than 24 hours after Starmer was all over Trump, everyone can clearly see he is the worst kind of friend you could ever need.
Let’s face it, Starmer is not very good at this is he!
I listened to this discussion.
It feels as if the Left are just massively attached to the years they’ve invested in their own theories and intellectual ideas.
Fair enough I guess, but my view is that the Greens are presenting virtually the same policies but in a better, more relatable way.

I don’t expect much from talking/negotiating with the government. But I do enjoy reading home ed stuff.
We ended up bringing up our granddaughter - school wasn’t an option. Home Ed and meeting HE parents and kids has been a big revelation to me.

The government is not there to do the right thing. It’s there to protect the wealthy and the powerful.
This education bill is optics - it’s not based on reality and facts - it’s there to make it look like they care, and that they are doing something.
Schools are in crisis - aiming for impossible targets - losing staff - loads of bored kids - crumbling buildings. The last thing they need right now is an influx of HE kids and their parents.
I’m hoping the reality of life will prevail.

A lot of people ask me what a hippie is.
Hippies are in to Love and Peace, looking after the planet, and freedom to live our lives how we want to as long as we don’t bug others.
There are very few politicians who think this way, and these guys certainly don’t.
