AUCTOBER 2025 31: FREE SPACE - (A)Symmetric Multi-panel comic of Mercury bothered by the fact that his eyes are asymmetrical: right eye pupil is shaped like a teardrop while the other eye pupil isn't. He blinks to switch the teardrop's position to the other side, only to feel more asymmetric thus blinking again back to the right eye. Dialogue 1: "Mercury's right eye pupil is shaped like a gray teardrop. Occasionally, seeing the asymmetry of his eyes distracts him." 2: "He can move the teardrop to his left eye, but he'll end up feeling it's more uneven." 3: "As one person, he can't make both eyes the same pupil shape." 4: "Now it's back to the right eye, or maybe back to the left eye...?"
I am sometimes nitpicky with when specific things aren't symmetrical.

I saw someone call Ai a Thneed and I can't stop thinking about it. It's a PERFECT analogy. The Thneed was an all-purpose tool that didn't do anything really useful. It was a fad that did major damage to the environment to make the Onceler a billionare. It left no real lasting impact, only damage.
