Server rack in the basement loaded with Unifi, Dell and a few UPSs.

Server rack with the console open which slides out and folds up to present a keyboard and 17” monitor.

Did a few upgrades to the server rack this weekend. Added a 16 bay disk array. Installed the new console. Added another UPS that I won’t be hooking up until my panel upgrade this week. I’ve also swapped in some Noctua fans so this setup is pretty quiet yet cool.

Second project for today. Playing with the Homey Pro. I don’t plan to move away from my dear Home Assistant but always good to see how others do things. This will be interesting. I have enough devices in my junk drawer to setup a 2nd house.

My Dell R730 server has 2 Nvidia Tesla cards (P4/T4). They don’t have fans so I have a dedicated fan to keep them cool. The 40mm fan however is way too loud.
Today I’m replacing it with a 60mm Noctua fan that is way quieter. Had to remix and 3d print a new fan duct for it.
