This marks a welcome shift in American foreign policy in the Horn of Africa, moving away from propping up failed regimes & instead engaging with stable, democratic partners like the Republic of Somaliland.

According to the Deputy Secretary for State Christopher Landau, the U.S. is “looking into” cutting aid to the Failed State of Somalia, as well as Somaliland hosting an American base in Berbera!

This approach isn’t just Somaliland’s path forward, but, it’s the model Africa needs, self-reliance through trade, not dependency.

During his visit to the #UAE, the President of #Somaliland Abdirahman Cirro championed a bold vision of trade over aid.

Meeting with Mr. Sultan Al Mansouri, Chairman of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce, the President highlighted Somaliland’s strategic potential and investment opportunities.

The Presidents visit comes just two weeks after his last trip to the UAE, highlighting Somaliland’s increasing diplomatic efforts.

This visit presents an opportunity to push for international recognition, strengthen ties, and explore key economic and strategic partnerships with global leaders.

The President of #Somaliland, will attend the World Government Summit in the #UAE, where he will address an audience of over 30 world leaders and 6,000 guests on global challenges & opportunities.
