Jolly monk character (probably once a wine advertisement) with caption "I've started investing in stocks: chicken, beef, vegetable.
One day I hope to be a bouillonaire."
Restaurants are so called because the first restaurateurs served "restorative bouillons" (their patrons were the bone-broth aficionados of the eighteenth century). It's very hard to get rich in the restaurant business. This still made me laugh.

Meta have stolen the work of 1000s of writers to train their AI. All of my books were included in their illegal action.
Today UK authors are protesting against this theft.

Prayer for Uninteresting Times
ย
Send me a slow news day,
a quiet, subdued day,
in which nothing much happens of note,
save for the passing of time,
the consumption of wine,
and a re-run of Murder, She Wrote.
Grant me a no news day,
a spare-me-your-views day,
in which nothing much happens at all,
except a few hours together
some regional weather,
a day we can barely recall.
Brian Bilston
Hereโs a poem called โPrayer for Uninteresting Timesโ.

I work with Red Balloon teaching young people who've suffered trauma. Some staff are running the Northstowe Half Marathon to help raise funds for more therapeutic spaces in the centre, so we can keep on supporting our students and their wellbeing. Weโd be very grateful if youโre able to support us!

Love Poem, written in haste (with Autocorrect left on)
O brave new worm that has you in it,
my Darjeeling, my one true love โ
you make the Starbucks twinkle
and shin down from the Sky Sports above.
For your beautician is like no other -
how it sets my heart on fir!
You stir up my emoticons.
You fill me with dessert.
To gazebo upon your lovely Facebook,
your petty mouse Iโd love to kiss,
your Bluetooth eyes like limpet pools โ
it makes me feel such blisters.
Love is in the airing cupboard,
itโs all a roundabout, itโs everywhere โ
so be Minecraft tonight, my angle,
just say the wordle and Iโll be there.
Brian Bilge Pump
I tried to write a love poem but stupidly left Autocorrect on. :-(

All the rest hath three days more,
