Sometimes I think about the fact that the best artistic work is produced when the artist has everything they need to live comfortably.

Then I think about the fact no trans woman I know has that, and we're still out here producing the best and most creative stuff going.

I went to meet the 'Rockstar 31', the developers who were suddenly fired from their work on GTA 6 for what the studio has described as gross misconduct.

That's not what the workers call it though. They have another couple of words they prefer to use: union busting.

Yeah, I've been holding out a hope that it being so fundamentally derivative would sort of prevent that. It would be so validating if that held true. But I had expected it to remix fast enough to throw out something significant by now too.

My personal favourite brand of microcosm in the AI dirge is the 'several automated parties feeding each other and becoming' more alien in recursion, with shrimp Jesus being way up there.

I personally think we're going to see a heavy and wild swing back toward declaratively human made work, like the poster design of the 60s which became less and less legible to evoke engagement. We're going to see worse graphics by smaller teams because the smooth and polished has become disposable.

My argument is that it disproportionally impacts minority genders (makeup expectations, expression), multiple ND brain types, and aggravates potential class disparities (showing your home/ family in bg.) Wouldn't you rather want all that wasted energy for the project, or let folk keep their peace?

I took brain meds early today, but the pain meds are not cutting it. This is why I'm being slightly spicy on main. Stuck in bed and angry about it.
