LOST: Council votes against motion to oppose plans for Rivenhall incinerator Braintree Council has voted against a motion to oppose yet more controversial plans for the Rivenhall Airfield incinerator.

Tonight at #Braintree DC meeting, I&G Group motion calling for opposition to #Rivenhall incinerator voted down 22 votes to 16 by Cons.
Their actions will not be welcomed by communities facing 24/7 burning & constant changes of planning for the site.

We have no elections here in #Essex as they were cancelled by Lab/Con.

Billionaire wealth has risen 3 times faster in 2024 than 2023 according to @oxfamgb.bsky.social with 60% coming from either inheritance, cronyism and corruption or monopoly power.

This gross level of wealth hoarding is unjust and unsustainable.
